BACKGROUND INFORMATION
In accordance with Florida requirements, RFP 2019909 Property & Casualty Insurance Brokerage Services went out to the public on 11/10/2018 via Demand Star. 394 suppliers were notified and there were 9 planholders. 2 bid packages were received. The Bid Review Committee met on 12/14/18, reviewed and ranked the applicants. Bid presentations were not scheduled due to the ranking of the applicants and the Bid Committee selected Arthur J. Gallagher based off the pricing provided, their vast experience insuring properties in Monroe County, their knowledge of our insurance needs and their offer to provide appraisals of all properties at no additional change. In addition, Gallagher has agreed to maintain commissions at their current level, which is below amount solicited in the RFP.
