BACKGROUND INFORMATION
AVID will be implemented in eight schools throughout the district in 2019-2020. Each year, teachers are asked to participate in professional learning at an AVID Summer Institute. This year, teachers will attend with a focus on English learners and the AVID Excel program. 29 teachers and 5 administrators will attend the Tampa Summer Institute on June 24th - June 27nd, 2019. Skills that are learned at the institute will be shared through various professional learning opportunities and program implementation in the 2019-2020 school year.
