BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Head Start Self-Assessment reports the strengths and weaknesses in each goal area of the
current program and assists in planning for next year’s grant application. Head Start standards
require that governing bodies are a part of the Self-Assessment by having input and sharing
outcomes.
