BACKGROUND INFORMATION
One of the findings and recommendationsin the Auditor General Report No 2018-183 was for the District to develop a comprehensive IT risk assessment to provide a documented bases for managing IT -related risks. This item satisfies that requirement set forth in the finding and provides the District with valuable information to assist the District in managing its IT-related risks.
The RFP was released on January 9th, 2019 and advertised via DemandStar, local newspaper, and the District's website. 359 vendors were specifically notified based on the industry classification notice option in DemandStar. 14 vendors downloaded plans and 10 responses were recievied. Of the 10 responses 5 were found to be non-responsive and therefore only 5 were reviewed. These bids were reviewed and ranked by the Board's Audit and Finance Committee at thier February 12th meeting. As a result, RSM US LLP was selected based on their experience, their work in the education industry and the priced proposed.
