BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Office of Head Start requires we share the award notice with governing bodies.
In November the board approved a proposal to extend student hours for three-year-old students and non-voucher students in Head Start. In addition, a revision of the proposal was sent in February.
The Office of Head Start awarded the proposal in the amount of $160,312 for the remainder of this fiscal year and a recurring amount of $157,965 every year hereafter. The recurring amount will be added to the base Federal funding of the grant each year.
