BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Certiport provides industry certification testing to all middle and high schools in the MCSD in accordance with the CAPE Act.  Industry certification is a contributing factor in the A+ School Grades calculation, bonus funding model, and the Carl D. Perkins district funding allocation.  The universal testing includes Adobe, Autodesk, Microsoft and IC3 certification testing.  CTE testing numbers are higher than initially projected and we are going to run out of testing licenses before the end of the school year.  CTE asking to purchase 50 additional licenses to meet student need.  CTE will modify next year’s Certiport contract to reflect total spending in testing licenses and curriculum for each school site.
