Approval of purchase with Bogen Communications for PA systems projects

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
One of the many updates related to safety and security is a project to replace the PA front end system at three schools as well as update speakers at another. Currently there are multiple PA systems throughout the district which creates difficulties maitaining those systems due to the variation of components. The desire is to move to a common PA system which would allow staff to apply system knowledge, parts and equipment district wide. Quotes were requested for all projects, althought they are not being done at the same time. For the front end eqipment Bogen was the only vendor that responded to the requests with proposals as it is only a partial replacement and there would be additional costs for a new vendor to integrate new equipment into an existing system. Those quotes camein at CSHS $17,105.17, KWHS $24,408.76, and SUG $30,830.17. Three quotes were received for the speaker replacement quote and Bogen was the low bid at $3,159.10. Our recommendation is to purchase all of the equipment require from Bogen Communications, Inc. for all projects with a NTE amount of $75,503.20.
