BACKGROUND INFORMATION
To receive early learning state funding annually, the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) contract and School Readiness contract must be approved. The VPK contract is used to fund stand-alone Pre-Kindergarten classrooms in our public school setting. School Readiness dollars are used to fund wrap-around services for children ages 3-11 at four of our elementary schools, as noted in the contract.
