BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The purpose of this MOU is to develop a partnership between Monroe County School District and Guidance/Care Center, Inc. (G/CC) for the South Florida Behavior Health Network (SFBHN) Grant and the proposed program for the ITN Grant.

Description of program and goals

The proposed programs, will address three specific long-term outcomes identified in the Monroe County Comprehensive Community Action Plan (CCAP).  GCC will use three evidence-based practices (EBP) for youth in order to reduce the use of alcohol and other drugs.  The programs that will be provided are An Apple A Day (AAAD) for K-4 grades, Project SUCCESS for High School and Middle School students, and Indicated Prevention through Teen Intervene for Middle School students.
