BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Office of Head Start (OHS) Program Information Report (PIR) provides comprehensive data on the services, staff, children, and families served by Head Start and Early Head Start programs nationwide. All grantees and are required to submit the PIR. The data is combined with all Head Starts nationally and used by OHS central office, in Washington D.C. for an annual report to congress. The completed PIR may be found on the Early Learning Childhood Learning Knowledge Center website (google ECLKC to find national data).
This data will be further explained and used by the grantee in the annual report and the community assessment.
