BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This recommendation for approval to purchase identification badge printing technology for use in printing laminated badges with secured access capabilities for the Monroe County School District. The “Open Options” printing technology manufactured by Integrated Fire and Security Solutions includes a badging station and printer for each of three locations. Each station includes the HD5000 Base Model Dual Side Badge Printer, color ribbon with two resin blank panels (500 image capability), HDP5000 film (1,500 images), Polyguard 1.0 Overlaminate Clear (250) and a cleaning kit. This will allow the district to print electronic entry badges that are configured from a central location providing secured employee access to schools and properties. Using AD integration this centralized user management tool assures entry/access to secured areas for which employees are cleared is properly limited and only available during pre-specified hours.
