Head Start COLA for FY 2021
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, contains an increase of approximately $123 million for a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for all Head Start grantees. The COLA supports a 1.22 percent increase above fiscal year (FY) 2020 funding level to increase staff salaries and fringe benefits. The funds are effective with the start of the FY 2021 budget period, which will be the Monroe County School District 2021-2022 school year.
The supplemental application is due to the Office of Head Start on April 15th, 2021.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve COLA for Head Start grant.
