Approve Head Start Grant Application 04CH011179-03
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start (OHS), monitors, and regulates the Head Start Grant. MCSD is the grantee. We are applying for year three of a five year continuation cycle (2019-2024).
The Head Start grant application and supporting documentation must be approved by the governing bodies for submission to the OHS on May 1st, 2021. The annual report and the self-assessment have already been approved by the board. Required documents are: grant application and budget justification, selection criteria, training plan, and strategic improvement plan with goals. The strategic plan was created in 2019 and updated according to the self-assessment each year. Also included for approval are the following fiscal documents: "Grant Application Budgeting Instrument" (GABI), SF-424, SF-424A, SF-424B, and compensation cap.

Requesting Federal Funds for FY 2021-2022.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommend to Approve Head Start Grant application and supporting documents.
